The speculation can now cease as FOX has announced its mid-season schedule with "American Idol" remaining in its dominant Tuesday/Wednesday time periods throughout Spring 2006 reports The Futon Critic.
The fifth season of "24" premieres with a two-day, four-hour event Sunday, January 15th and Monday, January 16th at 8pm. The series air original episodes - no repeats - every week for the rest of the season in the Monday 9pm slot.
"American Idol" fifth season will launch with a two-hour premiere on Tuesday, January 17th at 8pm and a one-hour episode on Wednesday, January 18th. Tuesday's shows will be followed by new "House".
"Prison Break" will begin all-original new episodes - no repeats for the rest of the season - from Monday, March 20th at 8pm.
"Bones" will be moved to Wednesdays at 9PM (following the "American Idol" results show) beginning January 25th.
"Reunion" is scheduled to continue airing through til February 2nd.
"Trading Spouses" returns on Fridays at 9PM beginning January 6th.
"That 70's Show" and "Stacked" will air back to back at 9PM on Thursdays after THE O.C, beginning March 2nd.
