Hugh Jackman has declined the opportunity for a three film deal to play suave British secret agent James Bond reports The Times.
The precise reason for this snub is in dispute. Jackman's friends insist that he was simply too busy, while others imply that the part "has become a role for an "up-and-coming" actor and not an established personality". There are also suggestions Jackman feared he would be stereotyped in the role.
The Sydney Morning Herald added to the report saying Jackman turned down the job after talking with his wife Deborah Lee-Furness. Jackman is currently in London working with Director Woody Allen.
