Edith Piaf Biopic: French actress Marion Cotillard will star as Edith Piaf in the $24 million budget biopic which will chronicle the tumultuous life of one of France's most famous and beloved singers. Olivier Dahan will direct the movie. Vincent Cassel will be the father of the young Edith Piaf, Sylvie Testud ("Fear and Trembling") is also part of the cast. Acenes will take place in France and the US (Piaf and Marcel Cerdan's whirlwind romance). An October 11th 2006 French release is being targeted.

V for Vendetta: The Natalie Portman flick has been filming (the last two nights with one more night tonight) in Trafalgar Square and along Whitehall, London. The scenes, second unit crowd shots, involve a three hundred strong crowd dressed as V (mask n all) emerging around Nelsons column and passing a barricade manned buy armed soldiers. It's a peaceful confrontation that takes place at the climax of the movie.
