An original screenplay, written by Oliver Parker & John Sayles and to be directed by Parker, "Fade to Black" is set in 1948 Rome. In an attempt to recover from his marriage to Rita Hayworth and to restart his career, Orson Welles travels to Italy....only to be drawn into a dangerous web of intrigue, murder and politics when an actor is murdered on his set. Principal photography will commence in July shooting in Serbia, the Isle of Man and Italy. Post-production will take place in London."
