  • A Look At "Star Wars" Locations
    By Garth FranklinFriday March 25th 2005 10:01am
The official site for the last "Star Wars" prequel has opened up a bit and one of the more interesting sections is 'Locations' which gives us a breakdown of all the main planets in action in this final movie. Aside from the already well known Naboo, Coruscant and Tattooine from the other movies, there's:

    Kashyyyk
A lush jungle planet where treetops serve as homes for the native Wookiees, a towering fur-covered species known to be ferocious warriors. When the Separatists invade the peaceful planet, Jedi Master Yoda commands the Republic's forces, assisted by the mighty Wookiees Chewbacca and Tarfful.

    Mustafar
Located in the Outer Rim, the tiny planet of Mustafar is a fiery world where lava is mined like a precious natural resource. Amidst this apocalyptic landscape of erupting volcanoes, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi must confront his former apprentice and friend Anakin Skywalker, who has fallen to the dark side.

    Polis Massa
An asteroid colony far off the major trade routes. Polis Massa is a mining settlement that serves as an emergency sanctuary for the Jedi following the rise of the Empire.

    Utapau
The remote sanctuary of Utapau is a planet pitted with enormous sinkholes, within which intricate cities have been built that stretch deep into caves and crevices beneath the planet's surface. Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi journeys to Utapau to seek out and destroy General Grievous, the commander of the Separatist droid armies.
