  • Mirren's Deep Thought on "Galaxy"
    By Garth FranklinTuesday March 15th 2005 8:35pm
Legendary English actress Helen Mirren ("Prime Suspect") has joined the long list of British acting alumni lending their voices to certain characters and props in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" movie opening late April.

Amongst the voices on hand are legendary comic Stephen Fry as the voice of The Guide, Bill Bailey as a falling whale, and Alan Rickman as the eternally depressed robot Marvin. Now, Planet Magrathea has revealed that Mirren will provide the voice of the computer 'Deep Thought', which when it was constructed, was the universe's most powerful computer that was designed to specifically answer the biggest question of all time - the meaning of life.

The film is also confirmed to open in Australia and New Zealand on 28th April, one day before it opens in the UK and USA.

    Thanks to 'MJ'
