Jennifer Aniston and Meryl Streep are "Wanted" women with the two becoming attached to Sheldon Turner's upcoming adaptation of Kim Wozencraft's novel "Wanted" reports Variety.
Wozencraft is a former undercover narcotics agent best known for having penned "Rush," the novel that became MGM's 1991 Jason Patric and Jennifer Jason Leigh pic of the same name. In Wozencraft's "Wanted," a female cop (Aniston) in Texas is framed for narcotics trafficking and sent to prison. Her cellmate is a war protester (Streep) who's renounced violence, and the two plot an escape.
No director is yet attached. Turner most recently handled the forthcoming remake of "The Longest Yard" for Paramount, and is also writing a prequel to "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" for New Line.
