The Hollywood News received this scoop today from one of their readers who recently got into a chat with Danny Glover:

"I see he's getting good buzz for his movie "Saw". We had the opportunity to see it this week and it reminded me of the chat we had about the 'Lethal Weapon' movies. He and Mel Gibson aren't doing a fifth apparently. Those involved wanted them too - the director, the movie studio, everyone.

But both of them got together and said they're over that. What I thought was amusing was how the studio apparently didn't just bury the idea, they still want 'Lethal Weapon 5', and their idea is to have Chris Rock in it playing [the lead]. I love Chris, I think he's hilarious, so I think that could work".
