  • ScreamFest Film Talk Report
    By Garth FranklinTuesday, October 19th 2004 11:36PM
The Screamfest Film Festival is one of those places where you can gather with other writers and get word on who's doing what and with who. Today, 'Dr. Climaxx' has passed on the 'good' goods from the LA floor:

"Saw: According to the makers, Lions Gate might be after a sequel to SAW. they're pretty impressed with it. One of the guys was at Screamfest and seemed like he knew exactly what makes a good horror pic. I believe they're going to see how this goes and then maybe get things like blair witch happening again.

    TV Related
: At the 'Comic Books to TV' talkie, which mainly focused on classic 'Tales from the Crypt', it was revealed that the WB is working on another series of The Flash, sorta like CBS's version that had John Wesley Shipp in it. and there's more in 'crypt' land to come.

The Hills Have Eyes - Michael Berryman, the original Pluto from 'Hills have Eyes', might be starring in a remake that Miramax are about to do. I know the sfx guys that will probably be working on that one, and the word is good.

Freddy vs. Jason & Evil Dead 4
    - Ted Humphrey has turned in a treatment for a new Evil Dead movie. Something Sam Raimi will likely produce. And nope, "Freddy vs Jason vs Ash" isn't happening - Raimi apparently decided to go with a solo Ash flick instead. From what i've heard, F vs J 2 is dead.

And can I also do a fat plug for Brett Simmons' "HUSK" It rocks!"

    Thanks again to 'Dr. Climaxx'
