  • "Myth" Grounded In Reality
    By Garth FranklinTuesday, October 12th 2004 1:43PM
Production for Jackie Chan's "The Myth" has been indefinitely stopped, due to a spat over its shooting at the historical town of Hampi in India's southern Karnataka state according to The Malaysia Star.

It seems that India's Directorate of Archaeology and Museums has ordered for the removal of cranes and sets from grounds of the 15th-century Virupaksha temple at Hampi, saying the production had not sought permission to film there.

Director Stanley Tong said permission was granted by the Archaeological Survey of India and the Hampi World Heritage Site. However, the directorate claims the area is under its jurisdiction. Filming was to wrap this Thursday.

    Thanks to 'Mericano'.
