Last week up in Queensland, Australia was the annual film exhibitors conference showing off lots of advanced footage and movies for the next 12 months. Decorating the hall were a lot of concept posters, most notably this rather sweet and very first ever piece of concept art for Peter Jackson's upcoming new interpretation of "King Kong" was apparently on show. Now be aware, much like the NYC Licensing Show posters, much of the early concept art shown at this convention is NOT what the teaser or final poster artwork will look like - rather it's something the local distributors simply cobble together for the convention and ONLY for that (this stuff isn't actually supposed to be online).
*** Update
(18/8) *** - Universal, Peter Jackson and various convention attendees have now all confirmed no such poster has either been made or was at the convention. It's a fake boys and girls.
Meanwhile, The Dominion Post reports that Lobo Chan, who has sung in British productions of Turandot, La Boheme, The Marriage of Figaro and other operas, and in BBC dramas including Sweet and Sour, will play a character called Choy when filming gets underway in Wellington next month.
