  • Rockwell a "Hitchhiker"

    Indie actor turned budding mainstream supporting guy Sam Rockwell ("Confessions of a Dangerous Mind", "Matchstick Men") has landed a key role in Spyglass Entertainment/Walt Disney's big-screen adaptation of the cult hit sci-fi/comedy novel "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams according to today's The Hollywood Reporter.

    Rockwell is set to play Zaphod Beeblebrox, the two-headed president of the known galaxy whose stolen a spaceship with an experimental probability drive which happens to pick up our heroes Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect from dying in deep space.

    "Galaxy" begins shooting in April in London with Garth Jennings at the helm. Rockwell joins Mos Def, Zooey Deschanel and Martin Freeman in the key three other major roles.
