Assorted news and speculation of sadly a mostly bad nature in regards to several small screen franchises today:
"The Flash"
The WB's Smallville-esque reinvention of the comic book set around high school is dead. According to Kryptonsite a reliable source of theirs has confirmed that the new Flash is not moving ahead.
"Dark Shadows"
WB's reinvention of the 60's gothic vampire soap opera is moving forward well and according to Barnabas Undead, the pilot has been given the greenlight to start filming.
"Global Frequency"
CHUD reports that The WB will be doing a pilot in the Spring for a TV adaptation of the Warren Ellis comic book spy thriller series.
"Angel" (SPOILERS)
According to televisionwithoutpity.com, a secret ending has been filmed for the 100th episode. This is not unusual, having a secret part filmed for Angel since they did this before to reintroduce Lindsey back to the show. The original ending had Cordelia kissing Angel and then leaving out the office and then the end credits rolled.
Well, the secret scene that was filmed has Cordelia leaving as Angel gets a phonecall. The person on the other end of the phone tells Angel something and you hear him say "When did she (Cordelia) die? So she never woke up?" Thus it means Cordelia will die on the 100th episode of Angel and that is how they will wrap up her storyline.
"Enterprise"
Confusion is reigning right now as two pretty dire reports have emerged in the last day which point to either a potential overhaul or cancellation for the troubled "Star Trek" spin-off.
Over at Cinescape, an unconfirmed report came in citing that "lackluster support by Les Moonves and Dawn Ostroff at this weekend's UPN press junket has gotten the attention of Garry Hart, President of Paramount Television Productions. Quiet for some time regarding the dismal performance of his division's most important moneymaker, it has been rumored that Hart may be planning as early as March to make concessions to UPN to help keep ENTERPRISE on the air....Hart may be waiting until after ENTERPRISE's February sweeps performance to announce the possible replacement of some of the show's production staff, to possibly include longtime TREK Executive Producer Rick Berman. There is no word at this time of any possible replacements". Hours later, a report over at TrekBBS indicates that it might all be over - "Jolene Blalock is having some sort of legal troubles because she isn't being released from the final months of her contract and they aren't renewing it [the show] for next year. She wants to get out of the final months of Enterprise but they won't let her". Soon after that was posted though, it was confirmed as fake.
