    Nautica: "Aussie born Stephen Hopkins, the director and producer behind Fox suspense drama "24" has been tapped by Escape Artists to replace original "Nautica" director Ted Demme, who died in January 2002. Heath Ledger was at one point replaced by Ewan McGregor but is now reportedly back on board. The character-driven thriller centers on three people yachting to the Bahamas who find themselves embroiled in skullduggery. The tale is told from the point of view of each character...."     Battlestar Galactica: More indications the show will happen are up at Syfy Portal.

    Beauty & The Beast: David Dukas, Jane March, William Gregory Lee and Justin Whalin are all tipped to be starring in a Viking-era retelling of the classic tale directed by David Lister.

    Beyond the Sea: The Bobby Darrin biopic with Kevin Spacey will get a December 2004 release.

    Birth of the Pink Panther: A cool piece of goss - radio shock jock Howard Stern is rumoured to be up for the role of Inspector Clouseau's disguise maker, Claude Balls. This is a re-invention of the original series' Dr. Auguste Balls and a potential recurring role ala 'Q' in the 007 franchise.

    Dark Shadows: The WB is remaking the 60's vampire gothic soap opera, see Buffy.Nu for details.

    Date School: Drew Barrymore is apparently out of the project. The studio is rumoured to be looking to replace the Drew before they concentrate on the guy, though they're very interested in Jimmy Fallon.

    DVD News: Details on a number of releases are out including Panic Room: SE, A Room with a View, Haunted Mansion & Honey.

    Fun with Dick & Jane: The Jim Carrey/Cameron Diaz comedy is set for a June 25th 2005 release.

    Lost Regiment: Tom Cruise has apparently decided not to develop the project due to the content being struck as too similar to "The Last Samurai". See this link for more details.

    Highwaymen: Seven photos and the poster for this Jim Caviezel/Rhona Mitra road movie are up at Rope of Silicon.

    Riding the Bullet: Production is now complete on Mick Garris' adaptation of Stephen King's e-book. Editing has begun and a release will hopefullly be happening around Halloween according to Lilja's Library.

    Sky Captain & The World of Tomorrow: Coming Soon indicates Paramount has scheduled the sci-fi adventure for a June 11th release, up against two other sci-fi themed stories - Vin Diesel actioneer "The Chronicles of Riddick" and Nicole Kidman black comedy "The Stepford Wives".

    The Bank Job: Moviehole inidcates Jason Statham's next will be this action thriller from director Harold Becker ["Sea of Love"].

    The Mask 2: The first photo from the comedy sequel is up at Superhero Hype.

    The Passion of the Christ: The final one-sheet for the Jesus movie is up at LatinoReview.

    The Wedding Crashers: Filmjerk reports that Christopher Walken and director David Dobkin have both signed on to do New Line Cinema's Owen Wilson/Vince Vaughn comedy. Walken will play the US Treasure Secretary whose also the father of the bride that the two leading men crash the wedding of in the film. Production begins in LA mid-March.
