The latest Fangoria Weekend of Horrors convention in LA yielded a panel with a couple of the people involved in these spooky-themed genre movies and 'Neo77' was on hand to take down some details from a Q&A with the "Hellboy" cast and new footage from the "Resident Evil" sequel:

"I have just returned from Saturdays convention and one of the guest panels there were for Hellboy. The guest included Selma Blair, Mike Mignolia and Hellboy himself Ron Perlman. Ron was very funny and he mentioned that he's taking a break from acting to direct a movie that he is currently seeking financing for.

Selma let out what Del Toro called her on the set, get this "Monkeybrains" and that Del Toro let her pick the color of the flames her character emits. Del Toro himself did not attend because of surgery but he did leave a recorded video message to the audience which was hilarious.

Also afterwards Tony Timpone screened some footage from Resident Evil: Apocalypse - it was of Milla Jovovich inside a huge containment vat full of liquid and she had tubes connected to her and there are Umbrella corporation scientists studying her. They eventually release her then babble about how well she's healing. then the head scientist questions her if she remembers anything. Milla does the LeeLoo thing and then starts to have rapid motion flashbacks of her shooting double guns at zombies and also cutting to quick flashes of the S.T.A.R.S. team. She eventually snaps out of it and says to the scientist "I remember everything" then proceeds to grab his pen and stab him in the neck.

Ving Rhames did not attend because he is filming a movie in the Philippines that sucked. I got a lot of autographs and took a lot of pictures and I think this is one the better Fango Cons that I've been to.
