Max Von Sydow, Pete Postlethwaite, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Alice Krige and Mackenzie Crook have all joined the cast of Davis Films' "Solomon Kane" reports Variety.
Adapted from the pulp novels of "Conan" author Robert E. Howard,'Kane' is an epic tale of a 16th century soldier (James Purefoy) tormented by his past evil deeds, seeking redemption by battling a sinister power threatening the kingdom.
Helmer Michael J. Bassett ("Deathwatch") will direct from his own script. The film is the first in a planned trilogy and shooting is due to begin in Prague this month.
