Fahrenheit 9/11: "Michael Moore announced his decision Monday to voluntarily forgo "Fahrenheit's" consideration as best documentary, though he does plan to throw its hat into the ring as a best picture contender..." (more info). Freeze Frame: "First Look Media has acquired worldwide rights, excluding the United Kingdom, to writer-helmer John Simpson's futuristic thriller "Freeze Frame." Starring Lee Evans, "Frame" follows Evans as a man who nearly escapes a murder conviction and spirals into paranoia, recording in detail his every move via camera should the police accuse him again. When the body of a murdered woman surfaces, Evans is targeted as the prime suspect..." (more info). Igor: "Exodus Film has hired veteran animation exec Max Howard to exec produce its CGI-animated pic "Igor." The $20 million-$25 million pic is being financed via Exodus' film fund. Company retains worldwide rights to pic, which it plans to have ready for theatrical release in 2007..." (more info). Mary: "Vincent Gallo will star in indie helmer Abel Ferrara's "Mary," an eclectic Bible-themed drama that Ferrara described as "a search for the heart of my religious upbringing"..." (more info). Tideland: "Jeff Bridges is coming aboard Terry Gilliam's next feature, "Tideland," a move that reunites the actor and director who last teamed in 1991 for the Oscar-winning feature "The Fisher King". "Tideland" follows the story of a girl who creates a surreal fantasy world to escape the pain of her father's death..."
