It seemed that Jackie Chan was going to suck it up and do another "Rush Hour" movie along with the seemingly 'retired' Chris Tucker, well that may not be the case anymore. About.Com spoke with series writer Jeff Nathanson who confirmed that whilst he is in talks for writing a third film's script, he doubts the project will come together. "I think that it's unlikely because of the budget stuff. They're having trouble figuring out how to afford that movie" said Nathanson. Chan, Tucker and Ratner all got gross points on RH2 on top of large salaries, so a deal for the third is likely to be even higher, making it too costly to produce. Nathanson says "We’re just talking now with Brett Ratner and the studio and trying to figure out ways to make it all work.“I don’t want to talk about Rush Hour 3 because it’s a non project. It doesn’t exist. If it ever exists we can talk about it but right now it’s just floating out there".
