Bull: "Fortress Entertainment principals Patrick Rizzotti and Brett Forbes will partner with Basil Iwanyk's Thunder Road Prods. to produce "Bull," based on the true story of three celebrated bull riders. Fortress optioned the life stories of Bobby Delvecchio, an Italian from the Bronx; Charles Sampson, an African American from Watts; and Donnie Gay, an eight-time world champ from Texas. The men are credited with revolutionizing the way professional rodeos attract sponsors..." (more info). Curly Oxide and Vic Thrill: "Paramount has made a mid-six against seven-figure rights deal for "Curly Oxide and Vic Thrill," a film that will be scripted by Tina Fey for producers Lorne Michaels and John Goldwyn. Fey will draw a comedy out of the true story of a Hasidic Jew and a grizzled rock musician who form a band. "Curly" fulfills a script commitment deal she made with Par and the producers before the Fey-scripted "Mean Girls" became a sleeper hit..." (more info). Flushed: "Ian McKellen and Andy Serkis are lending their voices to "Flushed Away," the next comedy from stop-motion animation powerhouse Aardman Animation. Hugh Jackman is in early talks to join the cast. The animated feature centers on a pampered British rat who accidentally gets flushed from his posh penthouse flat into the slimy London sewers..." (more info). Prime: "Two weeks before "Prime" is set to begin filming, Sandra Bullock has dropped out of the project -- at least for the moment. Bullock was to have starred as a thirtysomething woman who falls for her therapist's twentysomething son in the screenplay by Ben Younger, who will also direct. But according to a representative for the actress, Bullock, who has script approval, was not satisfied with the latest draft turned in early this month..." (more info). The Pleasure Drivers: "Lauren Holly, Angus MacFadyen, Lacey Chabert, Rachel Dratch, Angelo Spizzirri, Jill Bennett, Jason Mewes and Meat Loaf are set to star in indie feature "The Pleasure Drivers." Helmer Andrzej Sekula is directing the project in Los Angeles. "Pleasure Drivers" is a crime thriller with separate yet interconnected stories involving characters including a psychology professor who has lost touch with reality (MacFadyen); a young sociopathic call girl (Chabert); a vicious lesbian hit woman (Bennett); a recovering crack addict and kidnapper (Holly); a junkyard drunk (Meat Loaf); a brain-damaged former cult guru (Spizzirri); and dueling gas station attendants (Dratch and Mewes)...."
