Sigourney Revisits The Alien

Ok so "Alien vs. Predator" wasn't exactly well received critically, but box-office wise it looks set to become the most successful films of both franchises. Thus talk of the two series continuing on their own has naturally surfaced and actress Sigourney weaver is already throwing her hat in the ring.

Ananova reports that Sigourney Weaver has hinted she may consider starring in another Alien sequel, as long as it is willing to explore her character Ellen Ripley's dark side. Weaver apparently wants the franchise to return to its small beginnings by focusing on the psychology of gun-totting Ripley.

Sigourney says "I always said to Tom Rothman, who runs Fox, that I thought it would be interesting to do a small, spooky movie, more like the first one; a psychological thriller that could take Ripley to whatever the next stage may be. Which side would win out, the Jekyll or the Hyde?".

Thanks to ''Eggs'.
