The IMDb reports that 43-year-old star George Clooney is set to go bald and pile on a bunch of weight (around 40 pounds) for the role of real life agent Robert Baer in "Syriana", a movie about the CIA's war on terrorism over the years and based on the best seller - "See No Evil: The True Story of the CIA's War On Terrorism".
There's one small catch, seems that Clooney is worried that if he shaves his head - it may not grow back, at least not properly. A friend of Clooney's says "George has no problem with putting on a few pounds - in fact he's looking forward to it. What he is a little freaked out about is shaving his head. He's been worried about going bald and someone told him that if he shaves his hair off then it might not grow back the same. He might just crop it now, or maybe wear a skullcap".
Clooney himself is also doing something rather drastic - he's giving up sex. Talking with <a href="http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/celebrity/2262004.htm" target="_blank">Female First</a>, Clooney joked "I'm going to be fat and bald for the part but I am giving up sex for two reasons. First is that it will help me focus on a very intense role. Second is that not a second a single woman in the world is going to want to have sex with me if I look that way. Maybe it will be a taste of how I really will look in 20 years' time - fat, bald and a total turn-off".
The role may be bad news for British model TV host Lisa Snowdon whose reportedly been getting serious with Clooney of late.
