Kerry Washington, Mos Def and Alfre Woodward have been cast in the lead roles of "Bury Me Standing" reports Blackfilm.
Effie Brown ("Rocket Science") will produce the comedic drama in which Woodward plays Gloria, a mother who is mourning her son. Gloria makes a deal with Mod (Washington) to take her unborn baby in exchange for her house.
Caran Hartsfield wrote and will direct the project which begins filming in Philadelphia in September.
