Emmett/Furla Prods: "Emmett/Furla Prods. has picked up three specs: Roderick Taylor and Bruce Taylor's "Love and Hate," Stuart Hazeldine's "Underground" and Matt Reilly's "Altitude Rush". "Love and Hate," which was rewritten by Steven Rowley, is the story of a South Florida cop haunted by her childhood best friend who has seemingly come back from the dead. "Altitude Rush" follows a band of friends who must thwart a plot to blackmail the President of the United States. "Underground" is the story of a former soldier who must keep terrorists from flooding the London Underground..." (more info). Every Word Is True: "Gwyneth Paltrow will portray Peggy Lee in Warner Independent Pictures' Truman Capote biopic "Every Word Is True," joining a cast that includes Mark Wahlberg, Sandra Bullock and Toby Jones. Jesus is Magic: "Sarah Silverman has signed a deal with Interscope Records that will see the comedienne toplining her own feature-length film based on her hit off-Broadway show "Jesus Is Magic." Nguyen will take on the role of Blanchett's ex-lover, a onetime druggie-turned-stockbroker. Smallville (TV): The first photos of the new Lois Lane are up at Comics Continuum. Southern Belles: Anna Faris ("Scary Movie") has just signed on to star in "Southern Belles" an independent film to be helmed by first timers Brennan Shroff and Paul S. Myers. The film also stars Justin Chambers, Judah Friedlander, Fred Weller and newcomer Laura Breckenridge. The story follows two girls and their attempts to leave their trailer park existance for the big city of Atlanta. Shooting begins in Wilmington August 23rd. Suspect Zero: Some exclusive interviews have gone live on IFilm. Taxi: Two new pics from the Queen Latifah action comedy are up at LatinoReview. The Da Vinci Code: Gerard Butler is rumoured to play Robert Langdon in the movie adaptation of Dan Brown's best selling novel. Three Stooges (DVD): A brand new Three Stooges' DVD that lets viewers choose to colourize the original black and white version has some Stooges fans, as well as film historians, knocking themselves in the head.
