Sky News reports that the first British "Pop Idol" winner Will Young has reportedly landed his first movie role - in a raunchy nude musical.
Young will star alongside acting legends Dame Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins in the £10m project entitled "Mrs Henderson Presents" which begins production in September. Will has had a series of meetings with Hoskins and other casting directors, and they were so impressed with Will's screen test that they immediately put him on the shortlist for a leading role in the comedy. The film is littered with nude scenes with Will likely to be among those stripping off, said an inside source who also confirmed "he is really keen to finalise the negotiations".
Young drew headlines last month when his "Friday's Child" music video, which mainly features the singer in several swimming races (including the Olympics), was reportedly edited for US consumption after American network bosses found it too risque in the post-Janet's boob environment. There's nothing controversial at all in it short of Young in a speedo, to which he said in a <a href="http://icnorthwales.icnetwork.co.uk/entertainment/newsandreviews/tm_objectid=14403877&method=full&siteid=50142&headline=will-power-name_page.html" target="_blank">recent interview</a>"No, I didn't need a [body] double, even though it was bloody cold, because I've got quite a large penis... I'm quite pleased about that and I'm not worried, otherwise why do you think I'd do a Speedo video?". Thus fans can expect 'Big Will' to potentially cameo in the film.
