Shoreline Entertainment has acquired film rights to "Deadwood" scribe & author Kem Nunn's novel "Pomona Queen" reports Variety.
The story, set over the course of a night, follows a brokenhearted vacuum-cleaner salesman who knocks on the wrong door, becoming entangled in a stranger's manic quest to avenge his brother's murder.
Jeremiah Chechik ("The Avengers," "Benny and Joon") is attached to helm. Christopher Doyle ("Hero," "Infernal Affairs") will serve as cinematographer.
