Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese will re-team for feature film adaptation of Don Winslow's "The Winter of Frankie Machine" reports Deadline Hollywood Daily.
De Niro will play a Mafia hit man who has given up the game to become the proprietor of a bait shop. But he discovers that he's been targeted for a hit, and is forced to return to the business.
Scorsese will direct the film under his deal with Paramount, whilst "Ocean's Thirteen" screenwriters Brian Koppelman and David Levien wrote the screenplay.
