Major "Doctor Who" SPOILERS AHEAD. The BBC have released a description of 'The Last of the Time Lords', the third season finale of "Doctor Who" which airs on BBC1 on June 30th and the Sci-Fi Channel in the US later this year.
Last night's eleventh episode "Utopia" kicked off events, the unexpected first part of a three part storyline involving the return of not only "Torchwood" leader Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) but the Doctor's old nemesis The Master in the form of not one but two great British actors (Sir Derek Jacobi and John Simm).
A three-minute clip of the regeneration and "Life on Mars" star Simm's cameo in that episode are up on Youtube, as is a full ten-minute clip incorporating both that and Jacobi's turn in the role. There also this clip of next week's twelfth episode "The Sound of Drums". As for that synopsis for #13:
"Earth has been conquered and the Master rules supreme, with the Doctor a helpless prisoner. The entire human race has been reduced to slavery, as the mighty warships of a new Time Lord Empire rise from the ashes. Only Martha Jones can save the world."
