Julie Delpy is to play murderous countess Elizabeth Bathory in the new film "The Countess" reports UK Teletext.
The film is based on the Hungarian 17th century countess who murdered virgins and bathed in their blood, believing it would keep her eternally young.
She says "She was clearly a madwoman. It's going to be as challenge to play her. We shoot in October, I'm really looking forward to it."
