Cursed Delayed Again

Fangoria reports that Dimension has shifted Wes Craven’s "Cursed" out of its admittedly loose October 1st berth, and now intends to release it sometime during first quarter 2005. The Kevin Williamson-scripted werewolf film has had a famously troubled production, but no official reason for the date switch has been announced at this time.

What makes this strange is that it's the first of many delays to October release horror-related projects in the last month or so. "House of Wax" was delayed due to a set accident, "Dark Water" and "The Ring 2" have been pushed to January and Spring respectively for no specific reason.

Even "Seed of Chucky" was delayed several weeks to a November date, and as a result the Sarah Michelle Gellar-led remake of Japanese horror flick "The Grudge" will be the only 'scary' wide release movie to be out around Halloween.
