In a Sideshow Toy chat at the San Diego Comic Con, acclaimed scribe Peter Briggs brought up mention of a project he's working on: "It's my own baby. A monster movie set around Hadrian's Wall in 123 A.D. It's a co-prod with Stillking in Prague (they produced "XXX" and "Alien vs Predator") and Studio Eight in Britain. Shooting in Prague and Tunisia. Budget is around $12 million...which goes a LOOOOONG way in Prague".
Meanwhile, Freeze Dried Movies reports that according to a source at the San Diego Comic Con, Joel Schumacher has signed on to Dimension's "Wake the Dead", a story about four college kids who attempt to reanimate the dead. It is based off of a comic book series written by "30 Days of Nights" scribe Steve Niles and published through IDW Publishing. Niles confirmed the rumour a few hours ago - "Mr. Schumacher joined the team a few weeks ago and has immediately pushed the project forward in a way I never could. Right now he is only producing; he and I are working closely to make the film as strange and fun as the comic".
