Screen Daily reports that current James Bond himself Daniel Craig will star in Ed Zwick's $50 million WWII Polish Resistance epic "Defiance."
"Defiance" is the true story of four brothers in Nazi occupied Poland who flee to the Belarussian forest with a band of Jews and join forces with Russian Resistance fighters.
Zwick has helmed such films as "The Last Samurai," "Glory," "The Siege" and most recently "Blood Diamond." Craig is expected to begin work on the project in September, and then move on to the next 007 film. Paramount Vantage is in talks to distribute.
