Taylor Hackford ("Devil's Advocate," "Ray") is set to direct "Good Luck, Mr. Anthony" for Disney and Beacon Pictures reports Variety.

The fact-based film tells the story of Lawrence Anthony, a South African game preserve owner who snuck into Iraq during the early stages of the war in 2003 to rescue zoo animals who would otherwise die of neglect.

Engaging mercenaries to battle insurgents and poachers, Anthony rallied the zoo staff to return and protected the animals with the help of other local people. Anthony stayed in Baghdad for six months.
