Dax Shepard has signed to co-star in Universal Pictures' comedy "Baby Mama," joining Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Sigourney Weaver says The Hollywood Reporter.
Written and directed by Michael McCullers, the film centers on a single woman (Fey) whose desire to have a child and keep her career leads her to hire a surrogate (Poehler).
Shepard stars as Carl, the philandering husband of Poehler. When Carl tries to scam the surrogate, it brings the two women together. Shooting is scheduled to begin this month.
