Camp Sachem: "Revolution Studios has decided to go back to camp, acquiring scribe Greg Coolidge's comedy pitch "Camp Sachem" for Guy Walks Into A Bar and H2F Entertainment to produce. Story centers on a successful 35-year-old corporate raider who falters unexpectedly at a major meeting and discovers he's still haunted by the ridicule he suffered from having left camp two weeks early when he was 12. To resolve the dilemma, he returns to the same bunk for two weeks and finds himself having to lead the camp's losers..." (more info). Elizabethtown: "Paramount has tapped Alec Baldwin to round out the cast for Cameron Crowe's romantic comedy "Elizabethtown," starring Kirsten Dunst, Orlando Bloom and Susan Sarandon. "Elizabethtown" centers on an unexpected romance that develops against the backdrop of the elaborate memorial for a Kentucky patriarch. Baldwin will portray the boss of Bloom's character..." (more info). Inside Deep Throat: "Theater circuits shopping for a nonfiction box office prospect in the wake of "Fahrenheit 9/11" may not have long to wait. Universal Pictures has agreed to distribute "Inside Deep Throat," a celebrity-studded, sexually graphic documentary produced by Brian Grazer. Directed by Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, "Inside Deep Throat" examines the cultural impact of the 1972 porn classic starring Linda Lovelace and reveals how anti-porn crusaders ended up enriching Mafia enforcers. Outfoxed: "Docmaker Robert Greenwald has an ax to grind with Fox News Channel, but the cable news net may be holding the scissors. At a press conference in Gotham today, Greenwald will tout his new documentary slamming Fox News for having a persistent Republican bias and for slanting the news on the U.S. war in Iraq. The hitch for Greenwald and potential distributors, however, is that the doc, "Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism," uses Fox News footage without permission from the news net..." Rope Burns: "Anthony Mackie, the lead in Spike Lee and Sony Pictures Classics' late July rollout "She Hate Me," is landing roles in two more upcoming films, including Clint Eastwood's boxing picture "Rope Burns" and JC Barros' indie ensemble drama "Uptown Stories." In "Rope Burns" (formerly titled "Million Dollar Baby"), which follows a determined female pugilist and her trainer, Mackie will play an up-and-coming boxer. The mini will premiere in the US at 8pm US-EST on Sunday, 17th October 2004. In Gods Hands: A Damian Lewis site revealed that the plot of this Soderbergh-produced flick follows a man who suffers from schizophrenic episodes while trying to retrace the steps of his six-year-old daughter's abduction.
