Latest on Elektra & Daredevil 2

Roving Vancouver spy 'Jim' is in the action game and sent in the latest word on the "Daredevil" spin-off movie currently in production, and a proposed lower budget sequel:

"I've paid a visit to the "Elektra" set a couple of times in recent weeks. Mikey Desabrais and Lauro Chartrand are doing a fantastic job on it. They're the main two stunt guys working on this baby - though Michael Gunther's serving as co-ordinator (you might know his work from Matrix Revolutions, which filmed in Sydney). I thought I'd put a stop to any "Elektra is going to be awful, because Catwoman will be" rumors. Two words : No Way.

Everything that's been said and seen here has been positive (unlike the Catwoman flick). The rushes on Elektra are outstanding. It's bound to be about 100 times better than Daredevil. Jennifer Garner looks amazing and the storyline holds together really well apparently. She's been required to do significantly more this time around, than she did in the first film, and looks all the more better for it. Personally, I think she stole most of the moments of the first film, and she's bound to be in every frame of this film. There was a couple of close calls with stunts etc, but everything went off without a hitch. The story this time centres on a cultish troupe known as The Order of the Hand and they're out to nail a kid named Mark Millar, so hire Elektra to terminate him. Watch out for a guy named Hiro Kanagawa in it. Next, Daredevil 2 is supposed to go into production next year - with pretty much the same crew I believe - not Jen Garner. There's talk of it filming in the same locale as Elektra as well. It's apparently at that "going out to writers" stage at the moment. Whilst it's going to be the same character - it's unlikely to be the same guy in the suit. From what I gathered, either Ben Affleck is too busy or isn't interested in doing the second film (someone said they wanted him to appear in ELEKTRA and he didn't want to either). They're putting a few names in a hat and seeking out a few other name actors apparently - I believe there's two main candidates at the moment, a TV guy whose name escapes me at the moment and Hayden Christensen, from Star Wars 2. Can't say I'm familiar with anything else he's done, but he's young, so that works in his favour - especially if he has to do a bit of physical boof." Thanks to 'Jim'
