Sony Pictures is picking up Judd Apatow, Robert Smigel and Adam Sandler's script "You Don't Mess With the Zohan" with Sandler attached to star reports Reuters.

The comedy follows the exploits of a Mossad agent who fakes his death so he can anonymously move to New York and become a hair stylist.

Apatow, Smigel and Sandler penned the original screenplay with Smigel doing a rewrite. Sandler's Happy Madison will produce.

Apatow and Sandler previously worked together on the script for Sandler's well-received "The Wedding Singer".

Shooting will begin in the summer in Los Angeles and New York for a summer 2008 release.
