Ralph Winter Productions & Walden Media's Bristol Bay Prods. will shoot a film adaptation of the C.S. Lewis novel "The Screwtape Letters".

The 1942 published novel from the author of the "Narnia" series is an unusual property.

The book is actually a series of letters from a demon named Screwtape who advises his nephew and protege Wormwood on the finer points of undermining faith and promoting sin.

Variety reports that Walden hopes to release the film in 2008 along with its second "Narnia" film "Prince Caspian."
