Al Pacino will play artist Salvador Dali in the Andrew Niccol directed "Dali & I: The Surreal Story" reports Variety.
The film covers the latter days of Dali and when the surrealist painter decided to take his career in a most surreal direction.
Niccol & Pacino previously worked together on "Simone", and Niccol is presently rewriting a John Salvati-scripted adaptation of the Stan Lauryssen book "Dali and I."
Room 9 Entertainment has set a June start date in New York and Spain.
