After some delays in development, Phil Noyce's long awaited psychological romance drama "Dirt Music" is getting underway says The Hollywood Reporter.
Justin Monjo and Pip Karmel are adapting the screenplay from the best-selling book by Australian author Tim Winton for Mushroom Films.
Noyce announced this year that Rachel Weisz and Heath Ledger were attached to star, though Ledger reportedly pulled out of the project last month due to scheduling conflicts with his work as The Joker on "The Dark Knight".
Shooting on "Dirt Music" is expected to take place on location next year.
