A few hours ago I reported on a story that Miss Australia, Jennifer Hawkins who just became Miss Universe 2004,  is reportedly up for the Bo Derek role in the remake of the movie "10". Well now 'Clifton Sleigh' is back with word on it and all other things Blake Edwards: "You correctly reported that the current Miss Universe, Jennifer Hawkins is being touted as the new "10" for Blake Edwards' "10 Again." Robert Downey, Jr. is still a strong contender for the starring role with the original "10" Bo Derek and Edwards' wife Dame Julie Andrews expected to co-star. Pacificap Entertainment Holdings, who picked the project up earlier this year after Mark Damon unwisely let his option expire while MDP reorganized as Media 8, are close to dotting the i's and crossing the t's with KISS front man Gene Simmons' company, Sanctuary Pictures. Sanctuary and Pacificap are already partnering on the new as-yet-untitled Adam Rifkin/Snoop Dog project. No word on the Warner Bros.-Magic Hallway (Paul Hall and Magic Johnson's production company) urban remake, "The Bomb" which was intended as a vehicle for Martin Lawrence back in the day. The ever-busy Mr. Edwards (who turns 82 on July 26) completed an LA-based workshop of his musical "Big Rosemary" in April. The 1999 off-Broadway show boasted an all-new score as well as a revised first act. Mr. Edwards is still fine-tuning the second act before considering a Broadway run for this long-standing pet project. Mr. Edwards, who has been consulted by MGM on proposed redesigns to their famous pink mascot, may not be involved in the studio's big-budget relaunch of The Pink Panther series, but he still has his heart set on taking the first two films in the franchise to Broadway via MGM's theatrical division, MGM On-Stage. Leslie Bricusse and Alan and Marilyn Bergman have written the scores for the two shows, respectively" Thanks to 'Clifton Sleigh'.
