"Casino Royale" continues to steamroll over all competition overseas, winning its fourth straight weekend at the international box office - taking in $36.2 million from outside the US.

Bond thrashed stiff competition from newcomer "Happy Feet" which has been beating it by a nose hair at the U.S. box-office ever since both films opened last month.

'Royale' now has earned $247.2 million internationally and $376 million worldwide. The film now stands $55 million short of current Bond global tally record holder "Die Another Day" and is expected to pass it by Christmas.

The film has also in saved the international box-office from an embarassing gap. Whilst U.S. domestic box-office may have been up this year from last, overseas the story hasn't been so rosy. Thanks in many ways due to 'Royale', the gap should be closed by year's end.
