Columbia Pictures has acquired comedy pitch "My Wife Hates Your Wife," with Gina Wendkos ("The Princess Diaries", "Coyote Ugly") to script and Will Smith to produce.
Story revolves around two couples who do everything together until the ladies feud and the guys must sneak around to continue their now-illicit friendship.
Variety reports that Wendkos is writing the project as a Smith vehicle, though the actor won't make a decision until the screenplay is completed. Smith is currently filming "I Am Legend" for Warner Bros.
