Shawn Levy ("Night at the Museum", "The Pink Panther") has set two feature directing vehicles and a pair of TV pilot scripts through his 21 Laps Entertainment.
Universal will team with them on Alex Williams' fantasy novel "The Talent Thief", with scribes Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay ("Aeon Flux") penning screenplay about a boy trying to thwart a villain who's using a bizarre creature to steal people's special talents.
Fox will team with them to develop the Mark Friedman ("Home of the Brave") penned comedic/drama "Father Figure" says Variety.
On TV, 21 Laps is developing the Fox pilot "The Institution" - a single-camera half-hour comedy that focuses on three couples as they weather the highs and lows of matrimony.
They're also developing "The Swim Team", a CBS sitcom entitled ""The Swim Team" about a 30-ish narcissistic bachelor whose sperm bank visit during college comes back to haunt him when the offspring turn up on his doorstep.
