The hit sci-fi series "Stargate: SG-1" is about to head into its eigth season, making it one of the longest running sci-fi shows on American television and today 'Dov' has all the details (SPOILERS AHEAD) on the first batch of episodes of this final season along with word on the first few episodes of the spin-off series "Atlantis": STARGATE SG-1, Season 8 "New Order" (part 1 of 2) 7-09-04 Carter is taken prisoner by aliens when she and Teal'c attempt to contact the Asgard so they can defrost Jack. Weir and Daniel must neogiate with untrustworthy adversaries. "New Order" (part 2 of 2) 7-09-04 Continuation of above. "Lockdown" 7-16-04 Jack's a general, and things go to hell as he commands the SGC when a contagion spreads through the base, resulting in a lockdown. Worse, there's a Russian involved. "Avatar" 7-23-04 Teal'c is trapped in a virtual reality simulation (ala Gamekeeper) and it seems he can't get out of it. "Zero Hour" 7-30-04 SG-1 are captured by the Gou'ald (again), leaving Jack to ponder his command abilities back at base. "Icon" 8-06-04 Daniel is stuck on another planet, trapped with a local woman, as local warring factions cause problems. "Covenant" 8-13-04 Shadowy government elements come into play when a friend of Sam's (Charles Shaughnessy of The Nanny) lets leak about the existance of aliens, etc. "Affinity" 8-20-04 Teal'c is trapped in a Lifetime movie plot when he moves into an apartment, becomes involved with a sexy new neighobr, whose boyfriend is promptly murdered. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see who gets the blame. "Sacrifices" 8-27-04 Teal'c is reunited with Ishtar (Jolene Blalock of Enteprise) but she is soon captured and tortured by the Goa'uld Moloc. "Prometheus Unbound" 9-03-04 When the Prometheus answers a distress call from a Goa'uld ship, Daniel finds himself captive an alien lady who steals the Prometheus.
STARGATE ATLANTIS, Season 1 "Rising" (90 min ) 7-16-04 O'Neill is back in action, and the new team is introduced in the Arctic, and they end up stuck in the Pegasus Galaxy. "Hide and Seek" 7-23-04 An alien intruder gets into the city. "Thirty-Eight Minutes" 7-30-04 The team's puddle-jumper (alien craft of sorts) gets trapped in the Stargate. "Suspicion" 8-06-04 After another dangerous run-in with the new enemy, The Wraith, the team suspects a traitor in their midst. "Childhood's End" 8-13-04 The team encounter an alien world where the the inhabitants, in fear of the Wraith, kill themselves when they turn 25. "Poisoning the Well" 8-20-04 The Atlantis team find a drug that has the possiblity of repelling the Wraith, but as always, there's a hitch. "Underground" 8-27-04 The Genii, a simple farm type folk, aren't what they seem, which is what the Atlantis team finds out when they want to trade drugs for food. "The Storm" (part 1 of 2) 9-03-04 The Atlantis team must evacuate the city when a hurricane bears down on them, but Weir and McKay are captured by the Genii.
