Morgan Freeman is in final negotiations to star alongside James McAvoy in Universal Pictures' sci-fi actioner "Wanted".
The English-language debut of Russian filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov, the story follows a somewhat wimpish man (McAvoy) who discovers that his long-lost father is a famous assassin.
Then his dad is murdered, the son is recruited into a covert organization of killers and trained to follow in his father's footsteps. Freeman will play Sloan, the lead assassin who trains McAvoy.
"Wanted" is based on Mark Millar and J.G. Jones's comic book miniseries. "Fast & The Furious" sequel scribes Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, Chris Morgan penned the adaptation.
