By the time you read this, the final leg of shooting will have begun in Thailand on Oliver Stone's Alexander the Great flick according to the Associated Press. After almost four months of filming in Morocco and then London, the shoot has moved to the South-East Asian country for its last round of principal photography.
It's not immediately known which, if any, of the stars will be filming in Thailand although lead Colin Farrell is almost certain to be a part. Publicist Michael Singer says - "It is a large-scale movie. We are shooting large-scale scenes here. We are involving elephants. We have a lot of participants, both in front of and in back of the camera, who are Thai".
The shoot in Thailand is believed to be taking place in the the provinces of Saraburi and Ubon Ratchathani. The scenes themselves, including battle work involving hundreds of local extras, will be towards the film's end and will be set in India. The film will wrap in mid-February and is on course for its early November release.
