Despite pumping millions into the local economy, Thai authorities are apparently asking that the upcoming "Rambo IV: In the Serpent's Eye" be a kinder and quieter version of the saga reports Variety.
The next film featuring the disgruntled Vietnam veteran sees Rambo coaxed out of retirement to rescue a missing girl in Burma. The film is expected to spend $5.5 million in Thailand during the two month shoot beginning in January.
Despite this, the Thai Film Office will make sure that filming does not damage jungle surroundings and have asked the filmmakers "to go easy on the violence".
Location shoots in the country will take in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.
