Regent Releasing has picked up worldwide rights to the comedy "Freshman Orientation" reports the trades.
Writer-director Ryan Shiraki's film stars Sam Huntington ("Superman Returns") as an 18-year-old Midwestern student freshman who discovers that his new university isn't the non-stop party he hoped it would be.
Desperate to get some action with the sorority girl of his dreams, he pretends to be gay which sets off fraternity chaos and a chain of political showdowns that nearly destroy the campus.
Marla Sokoloff, Bryce Johnson, Heather Matarazzo, John Goodman and Rachel Dratch also star. A limited release is planned for Spring 2007.
