Jason Patric is in final talks to star opposite Tommy Lee Jones and Charlize Theron in Paul Haggis' "In the Valley of Elah" says Production Weekly.
The true story follows former MP and Vietnam veteran Hank Deerfield who rejected the Army's mysterious claim of AWOL status for his son Mike and discovered a murder. Haggis will direct from his original screenplay.
Jones will play Deerfield, Theron will play a homicide investigator who helps Deerfield get to the truth, and Patric will play a military police investigator.
Shooting begins December 4th in New Mexico and Morocco.
