Studio 60 On The Chopping Block

Time is up for Aaron Sorkin's "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" it seems.

Despite NBC ordering three more scripts for the show, Fox News says cast members are already telling friends the show is ending.

The expensive drama about a fictional late-night comedy show was the most talked-about new show of the season.

Talk doesn't lead to ratings though with a modest premiere rating of 13.4 million viewers. In subsequent weeks the show has continued to fall with last week's taking in 7.7 million viewers and coming third in its timeslot.

Compounding the problem is that the show's lead in is "Heroes", the highest-rated new show of the fall season which has increased in its ratings and pulls in nearly double the numbers of "Studio 60".
